Pengetahuan Ibu Hamil Tentang Pemberian Asi Esklusif Pada Bayi Berumur 0-6 Bulan

Abstract

This study analyzes the relationship between maternal knowledge and exclusive breastfeeding for babies aged 0-6 months at the Kaya Maya Community Health Center, Poso subdistrict, Central Sulawesi Province. Data from 60 mothers with babies in this age range were collected using a cross-sectional study design. The results show a significant relationship between the mother's level of knowledge and exclusive breastfeeding (p-value = 0.004, using the chi-square test). These findings highlight the importance of mothers' knowledge in influencing their decision to exclusively breastfeed their babies. The recommendation from this research is the need to increase mothers' knowledge through a broader educational approach, so that they can better understand the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding for optimal baby health and development. This is expected to increase exclusive breastfeeding coverage and provide better health benefits for babies in the long term.
