Gout or gouty arthritis is the end product of the metabolic process of purines, one of the nucleic acid components in the nucleus of the body's cells. Cinnamon can help cure inflammation of the joints that often occurs in patients with gouty arthritis. The cinnamaldehyde substance in cinnamon can inhibit the inflammatory process. This study aims to observe the impact of using boiled cinnamon water on reducing uric acid levels in the elderly in the Maroangin Health Center Working Area, Palopo City. The research method used is quantitative with the type Quasy Experiment and One Group Pretest Posttest, intended to understand the differences before and after the intervention. The population studied reached 60 respondents, with data collection carried out between 10 July and 10 August. The sample consisted of 38 people selected using the purposive sampling method. Data analysis used the T-test. The results showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) with a difference of 0.6079 (95% Confidence Interval, between 0.40479 and 0.81100). The p-value from this study is smaller than ? (0.05), which concludes that there is an influence of boiled cinnamon water on reducing uric acid levels in the elderly in the Maroangin Health Center working area, Palopo City. From these results, it can be concluded that cinnamon-boiled water has a significant effect on reducing uric acid levels in the elderly in the Maroangin Health Center Working Area, Palopo City. It is recommended to pay more attention to a healthy lifestyle as a whole
